Austin Rivers | Glenn River’s Son

Austin Rivers is a professional basketball player. He is currently under the investments of the Denver Nuggets as a shooting guard. However, he has been an accomplished player long before his pro career. During his high school years, he was amongst the top-rated basket players. In college basketball, he was enrolled in Duke University, where he garnered national recognition. He was also the 10th overall draft pick for the New Orleans Hornets in 2012, which are now called the Pelicans.

Austin played for the Pelicans until 2015 until he was traded to the Boston Celtics. However, he would be traded once again to the LA Clippers days after. Here, he would make NBA history for being the first player to play under his father, Glenn “Doc” Rivers. For those unfamiliar, the older Rivers was a basketball player himself, who played in the NBA from 1983 until 1996.
