Jay Leno | Born 1950
Jay Leno was born in New Rochelle, New York and grew up in grew up in Andover, Massachusetts. He finished his college education with a degree in Speech Therapy at Emerson College. It was also during his college years where he started doing comedy, and in 1973, he started his own comedy club.
Before becoming one of the most famous TV personalities in America, Leno was an aspiring stand-up comedian. By 1986, he was slowly making a name for himself as a late night talk show host, becoming a regular substitute for Johny Carson on The Tonight Show. And in 1992, he became the official host of the show. He was the host of The Tonight Show until 2009 and from 2010 until 2014. Since 2014, he has been hosting his very own car show, titled Jay Leno’s Garage.
