Ann-Margret is one of the most prominent performers of the 1960s and 1970s, still active in the entertainment industry today. She first gained a notable degree of fame in musicals like State Fair, Bye Bye Birdie, and Viva Las Vegas. But as time passed, she began to work in various genres, such as The Cincinnati Kid, The Train, and the rock opera Tommy.

Ann-Margret bookended her star-making performance in 1963’s Bye Bye Birdie with some of the hottest dancing ever captured on film. She was very engaged in the music industry. She has continued to sing live over the years and has sometimes released songs, notably a Christmas album in 2004. She even recorded and released her most recent album, Born to Be Wild. She revealed that in the 1970s, she thought about retiring but decided it wasn’t for her. In her 80s, she now goes along for the ride.
