Gene Hackman is a former American actor and novelist. In his six decades career, he has won four Golden Globes, two Academy Awards, one Screen Actors Guild Award, two BAFTAs, and one Silver Bear. Moreover, he won the Best Actor award for his role in the thriller The French Connection and Best Supporting Actor in the Western film Unforgiven. He also earned Best Supporting Actor nominations for the movies I Never Sang for My Father and Bonnie and Clyde. His second nomination for Best actor is for the film Mississippi Burning.
The veteran actor has been married twice and has three children from his first marriage. In 1991, he got married to classical pianist Betsy Arakawa. They made an investment in a Santa Fe, New Mexico home that features blended Southwestern styles and has a 360-degree view that stretches to the Colorado mountains.
