There is no doubt that F.R.I.E.N.D.S. will forever be in our hearts. This sitcom ran from 1994 to 2004, and was one of the highly popular TV shows of today. Aside from that, this is also where stars like Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer, and Matt LeBlanc rose to fame too. To their credit, their onscreen chemistry made the sitcom work. Fortunately, these celebrities ended up being close friends off screen.
In fact, the stars look back on their time in the show fondly since most of their memories were behind the scenes. Since these bloopers did not make the cut, the F.R.I.E.N.D.S. stars decided to share their favorite episode instead. Let’s take a look.
Jennifer Aniston
Jennifer Aniston played Rachel Green in the show, which helped catapult her to stardom. When asked what her favorite episode was, she shared that it was The One with the Prom Video from the show’s second season. This was also the lobster episode in case you were wondering. For the actress, she loved flashback episodes on the show that showed Monica with more weight on her, Ross with his afro, and Rachel’s pre nose job scenes. To her credit, we understand why she would love these because we do too.
Lisa Kudrow
No one can play Phoebe well like Lisa Kudrow. You can tell from the way she made her character endearing that the actress put a lot of her time and investments into developing her. It is not surprising that many love her for her work here. For Kudrow, her favorite was the Halloween party where Sean Penn appeared in, which was in season eight.
What made it memorable for her? According to Kudrow, they shot the episode after the harrowing 9/11 event. She stated that people would approach her and say thank you to her for making them laugh in spite of the tragic event.
Courteney Cox
As for Courteney Cox, who played Ross’ sister, Monica Geller, she loved The One with the Blackout episode just because of the scene with Ross and the cat. She said in their 2016 show that she loved seeing the cat on Schwimmer’s back. We can’t help but laugh as they certainly made that episode fun for their audience.
David Schwimmer
David Schwimmer has certainly gotten into character when he played Ross Geller. He did agree with Cox that The One with the Blackout episode was fun to shoot, but for him, it was The One with the Holiday Armadillo that was close to his heart.
In one interview, Schwimmer stated that in the episode, he dressed up as an armadillo instead of the usual Santa Claus. This was to teach his son about Hannukah. The actor further stated that he hoped that he could show it to his daughter. For sure, he would also tell his children stories on how he earned his impressive investment money with the show.
Matt LeBlanc
Matt LeBlanc’s favorite episode was their two-part finale because of its sentimental value to him, the rest of the cast, and the crew too. The Last One was tough on everyone because they know that it was the end for their show. LeBlanc has done justice to his character, Joey Tribiani, and, to his credit, he certainly performed well in the show. It was the greatest gig ever for the actor and we couldn’t agree more. Their investments in the show made it one of the best sitcoms of today.
Matthew Perry
Matthew Perry had plenty of laughs playing Chandler Bing. However, when asked what his favorite episode was during an interview in Good Morning America, Perry replied that it was The One with Ross’ New Girlfriend. One of the scenes here was when Joey recommends his tailor to Chandler. Joey said that the tailor made him his first suit when he was just 15 or 16 then proceeded to ask when the year 1990 was. Perry was laughing when he recalled Chandler’s answer to Joey which was, “Ok, you have to stop the Q-tip when there’s resistance!”
The stars of the hit show have gone on to do more projects after their shooting ended. Most of them starred in several films while the rest stuck with appearing on TV like LeBlanc. No matter what they are doing at the moment, these celebrities remained friends even after all these years. The time and investments that they put into the show and each other have paid off.
Not only is Friends among the highest ranking TV shows, but they are still popular even today. For sure, many have copies of their show to watch at leisure. One thing is for sure, no one can match the camaraderie and friendship that these stars have on set and off of it.
